Hi Dear,
I think you have already pointed out in your question description what is wrong in your body. It is low Vitamin D. Vitamin D level in blood less than 20 nanograms per milliliter is considered low and requires treatment. Deficiency of Vitamin D can cause bony aches because bones need vitamin D to stay and work strongly. Deficiency of this vitamin is also responsible for
nerve irritability causing you to feel
numbness and
tingling. In fact, it is an early sign showing you might have deficient vitamin D. Light headedness,
cold hands and feet,
fatigue are all associated with this single element deficiency.
We get this vitamin mainly from direct sunlight and animal-based diet including eggs, cheese and fortified milk. If you are vegetarian or vegan or if you spend too much time at home and not get chance to be exposed to direct sunlight, you may suffer from vitamin D deficiency. Use of too much sunscreen lotion can also lead to this deficiency. Best way is to sit outside in the early morning sunlight for 10-20 minutes every day. This can improve level of this Vitamin in the body.
Other reasons that may be responsible for the condition include darker tone of your skin, kidney's inefficiency to convert inactive Vitamin D into active form, digestive tract's inefficiency to absorb vitamin D, or if you are
obese. But these reasons can be focused on only if you do not get improvements in its level by simple solutions.
You have not mentioned what is your current blood level of vitamin D. You can consult your physician and ask him/her to prescribe you Vitamin D supplements and adjust the dose according to your current blood level.
I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthCareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best,
