What Causes Numbness And Swelling In Toes After A Bee Sting?
I was stung by a bee yesterday, actually I guess I stepped on it, but after I got the stinger out the pain was excruciating and later that night my toe swelled and went numb.. When I woke up this morning the toe along with the one next to it are still swollen and numb along with redness on the toes and below them.. Is there any need for concern with the numbness??
These symptoms are due to allergic response from the insect bite. The symptoms will subside in few days. I would suggest you following : > Take levocetirizine one at night for allergy > Avoid touching the bitten area with dirty hands. > take a piece of cloth, warm over flame and then place over swelled area. IT will give soothing effect. > take acetaminophen for pain (if occurs)
Report to hospital if: > Condition remain same after 2-3 days > Any unusual symptom appears > Condition deteriorates. > There is difficulty in breathing.
