What Causes Nose Bleeds Along With Mild Headache In A Child?

My son knocked over a chair and hit my 9yr old daughter in the head. A few hours later she had a small nosebleed that lasted only a minute. Then a few hours later 1 more small nosebleed. She was playing fine and has now gone to bed but was saying her forehead hurt a little. Time between the incident and her now asleep was about 6 hours.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Trauma to the nose can injure the nasal mucosa and thus cause bleeding.
Besides injury to nasal mucosa, injury to head structures can also lead to bleeding.
A CT scan of the head and neck will determine the site of injury and thus probable site of injury.
In case any injury is detected appropriate steps can be taken to control the bleeding.

Thanks and take care
