What Causes Nose Bleeding?

Hi I just had a bloody nose and I finally got it to stop after an hour of gushing blood coming out of my nose but I started throwing up blood and my bloody nose has been done for almost a half hour now and I m still throwing up blood and mucus and I have an extremely bad headache and my stomach hurts is that normal and would it be safe to lay down and go to sleep with my head hurting

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are having epistaxis problem and it is severe as per your history. Rhinitis, hypertension, trauma to nose, blood vessel telengiectasia or other problems might be the reason. Usually nose bleeding occurs from anterior nose artery rupture. Nasal packing can be done here by doctor to stop bleeding.

Meanwhile pinch nose for ten minute with index finger and thumb to stop bleeding. Measure your blood pressure and get rhinoscopy nose examination done first. If needed get coagulation profile checked along with platelet count estimation Consult an otorhinolaryngologist for examination with keeping all this in mind.
