What Causes Nose Bleeding While On Treatment For Pneumonia?

Hi I have pneumonia now for over 3 weeks, , and taking a second round of Meds which are Don today , but cough it still bad , and Now my nose I bleeding a little , I am 52 and just move here from Vacaville Ca, Hate the cold !! My Dr wants me to go in ER ? Help please ...Jules

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

You should see doctor since this lasts too long and may be complicated penumonia which require hospitalization and intavenous therapy with antibiotics. ALso, lungs xrays controls should be started. Bleeding from nose is probably related to excessive cough and if this worsens then you need to go to ER as soon as possible since it may be a bad sign and bronchoscopy should be done.
