What Causes Nose Bleeding And Severe Headache?

The last couple of weeks I had sinus/lung discharge that had a bit of infectious taste. It seemed to dissipate this week, some discharge but not really that infectious taste. Two night ago, I got a little nosebleed, followed by a significant clot of blood drained in the back of my thorught. Then last night, I was really fatigued, I dosed off on the couch and felt a little trickle. I woke up and had a slight nose bleed, then a larger clot of blood drained into my throat (my sinus never felt plugged . once the clots drained, I had no nosebleed. However last night, I woke out of a dead sleep in the middle of the night with a severe headache. today the headache is more of a heavy dull headache, with some light headedness.

Hi, You need to check your BP. The most common cause of nose bleeding plus severe headache is hypertension. Second, If your BP is normal, we need to check if you are taking any medication like aspirin. Many nose bleeding are rarely serious medical conditions. One of the most common cause is flu and allergic rhinitis. We also need to check your platelet count, in case of trombocytopenia.
