Hi,
There are three possibilities for the gestational sac not being seen on ultrasound.

1. She may have ovulated late and the pregnancy is still too early (small) to be seen on the ultrasound.
2. If a woman has ectopic pregnancy, the chance of recurrence in the other tube is 1 in 10. So there is a possibility that it could be ectopic pregnancy.Your daughter's doctor may do serial blood beta HCG hormone test at an interval of 48 hours to see if it is ectopic pregnancy again ( in normal pregnancy the hormone level rises by more than 60% in 48 hours).
3. Biochemical pregnancy-The pregnancy begins but stops growing very early such that sac is not seen on ultrasound.
I hope I have answered to your concerns.
