What Causes Night Terrors In A Child And How To Manage Them?

thirty eight years ago my son was 18 mo old and developed night terrors, it was very scary and over time i found an book that said this condition is caused by the drastic rise and fall in insolin levels. so i promptly removed all white surag from his diet and decreased his carbohydratye intake after twelve noon and it cured the night terriors they would only appear if he messed up and got something sweet after noon. im looking for litature on this to give to my daughter because my grandson who is just about two years old has now developed night terriors too.

night terrors are common in young children specially in young boys. usually an emotional component in child should be explored into. if they are troublesome a very short course of diazepam can be considered after a consultation with a pediatrician
