What Causes Neck Pain In Adam S Apple Region?

I have front neck pain. Swallowing is ok. Seems to be most tender in the suprasternal notch area. I am a female but pain is in the Adam s apple region. Is this common or should I be concerned? It started to feel tender two days ago. No other symptoms except fatigue today mostly. Coughing hurts the most Bc the whole neck is sore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello dear,
After going through your history, I believe you have some genuine concern and I will try to help you out of this situation.

As per my expertise, you are having laryngitis, which is the inflammation of the larynx ( wind pipe). This leads to pain down the the neck more during talking and cough.

For patients like you i advice them Voice rest, Antibiotics, Analgesics, steroids and antacid. Also they have to take warm water and gargle worm saline for 5 days
