What Causes Neck And Shoulder Pain After Lifting Weight?
I felt a pop in my neck while lifting a heavy object. I felt pain and tingling around my neck, shoulder, and down the top half of my back. It went away for a few days but has been recurring if I move my head too fast to the left. Could this be a ruptured disc?
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you may be having cervical spondylosis as you have pop. You felt pain and tingling around neck, shoulder, and down the top half of back.It means you also has compressive symptoms due to this. It does not seems to be due to disc prolapse. It can be confirmed by x-rays. MRI of spine confirm compression and rule out other causes. Neck exercises, Diacerine, glucosamine sulfate, neurotropics such as methycobalamin and analgesics such as ibuprofen give relief. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
