What Causes Navel Pain In A Child?

Hi, my five year old son has had this pain come and go around his belly button for about a month and a half now, two weeks ago I took him to the ER. On the way to the ER is when he started vomiting, and ended up having a fever by the time we got to the ER.. they said even though he hasn t had problems eating and no diarrhea, or problems pooping, They uncomfortably (drs words) said he most likely had the stomach flu and sent him on his way.. We ll he still felt nauseous on anti nausea medication, but wasn t getting sick.. well just a few minutes ago he said that his belly button hurt really really bad, just like that other day.. Idk what to do

Hello Dear
I evaluated your query in depth .
* Reason for navel pain in a child has many differential diagnosis - non
specific intestinal colic - intestinal infection - warms - spasm from some
playful act involving much jerks - constipation or loaded colon - diarrhea -
early appendicitis - certain diverticular conditions - pica - others
* First of all I would like to evaluate the child as thorough clinical work up &
accordingly I will decide to go for supportive data as Laboratory +/-
Ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis .
* In our clinic we recommend to give certain antibiotics , anti spasmodic,
gut flora related molecules pertaining to the sound clinical evaluations .
* Recommendations for you
# give him plenty of liquids - preferably boiled water , coconut water, lemon
juice , butter milk , rice water etc .
# give small amount of light diet at regular intervals
# avoid all oily / spicy / non vegetarian stuffs / beverages / junk foods / ice
creams / candy / chocolates / excess sugar / artificial sweeteners
# check him to chew his food thoroughly
# maintain hygiene of oral cavity
# keep his nails cut up to date
# avoid him to put any of his toys in his mouth
# diet should be balanced containing all necessary ingredients according to
his age
# maintain his weight chart
