What Causes Nausea , Vomiting , Diarrhea And Constipation?

I have had symptoms of Gerd/ulcer for 6 years. Constant upper abdominale pain, metalic taste in mouth, nausea, vomitting (especially if I eat fatty foods) diarea, constipation. I am due to have my 1st endoscopy exam and I m really worried it s something serious. I do suffer with anxiety. Have felt ill for 6 years now with various gastro problems. 37 yr old female smoker.

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

GERD or stomach ulcer is not the uncommon problem nowadays with increase of more junk and spicy diet among people.

If you are suffering since 6 years and diagnosed only clinically and yes you should go for upper GI endoscopy to confirm it and to rule out any other pathology like overgrowth or tumour in stomach.

There is nothing to be worried for endoscopy as we use advanced flexible endoscope and the procedure is not done in anesthesia. Patient can actually see the procedure on TV monitor.

So consult gastroenterologist and go for endoscopy without fear.
