What Causes Nausea, Frequent Bowel Movement And Gastritis?

I had a intestinal virus 2 weeks ago. Vomitting and diarrhea. It quickly stopped. However, I continue to experience nausea, frequent bowel movements (6X per day), gas, and bloating. I am finding it difficult to return to my normal diet. At what point should I contact my physician? thank you.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of a intestinal virus 2 weeks ago. Vomiting and diarrhea. It quickly stopped. However, I continue to experience nausea, frequent bowel movements (6 X per day), gas, and bloating. I am finding it difficult to return to my normal diet. At what point should I contact my physician? ...

As per the history your have provided, you have the problem since 2 weeks, along time to suffer hence you should consult your Physician asap for the following reasons:
Nausea, frequent bowel movements, gas and bloating indicate either bacterial infection or disturbed bacterial flora causing all such problems.
You need the following:
Tests of stool, blood to see for any bacterial infection.
Get an appropriate antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics and this may solve your problems.
Boiled cooled water only.
Food cooked at home and is fresh.
Plenty of fluids orally to keep away from the possible dehydration.
Avoid all the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance your problems.
