What Causes Nausea And Weakness Along With Red Rashes On The Face?

My son, age 32 had some blood work done this week. He has felt slightly nauseous and very tired. Then he broke out in a splotchy red rash, especially around face and eyes, also on shoulder, back and chest. The urgent care dr. gave steroids for the rash and they took blood samples. Called his back and said there is a problem with his liver. Some enzyme levels were very high and inflammation markers are also high. He has dr. appt on April 3.
