What Causes Muscle Spasms In The Toes And Fingers?
I have been having severe muscle spasm with pain and my toes and fingers draw up..also in my stomach muscle on both sides. When it started it was just once in awhile, now it is several times a day..I have noticed I cant see very well and I was diagnosed with chronic copd...my 1/2 brother and sister had MS. Do you think I could have MS I am 62 ? thank you
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your muscle spasm.
There are some causes most import for you to get a proper diagnosis : 1). Deficiency of potassium. 2). Deficiency of Vitamin D. 3).hyperventilation.
Third cause is important in your case, as you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, you must be having the hyperventilation. Hyperventilation causes respiratory alkilosis and severe generalized muscle spasm. No,. I don't think you have multiple sclerosis but it is COPD which is cause of your concern.
Hope my answer will help you and write us back in case you need further assistance.
