What Causes Muscle Pain Under Ribs Radiating Towards Hip And Thigh?

I have muscle pain under my ribs on my right side that wraps around the back down into my right hip and into my thigh. I have a history of kidney infections and no amount of massage seems to help. This has been going on for 10 years and lately keeps getting worse.

It may be a pain of nerve pinch or some herniated disc in lumbar vertebral region. You need an MRI of the spine to look into the matter. After workup, one can say with surety what's the reason and treatment goes with the reason differently.
