General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Vomiting purple is a sign of gastric bleeding to my impression since you have history of bleeding ulcers. It is a must to get an upper endoscopy for further evaluation as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, I advise to:
- avoid citrus, coffee, chocolate, energetic drinks and foods
- have light meals (curd, fruits, vegetables, soups)
- drink more water
- do not use aspirin, or any other NSAIDs pain killer

Once again, you need to get further evaluated by a GI specialist as soon as possible.

Wish fast recovery!
