What Causes Mouth Ulcers And Diarrhoea When On Treatment For Myelofibrosis?
My husband was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis in July 2011, since then he has had lesiions removed from his bowel with the loss of 50cm. He has also had bladder cancer which was treated with BCG. He is taking Hydrea for Myelofibrosis & is now on fortnightly transfusions. He is getting mouth ulcers, diarrhoea occasionally& his shortness of breath & fatigue. What else to we have to look forward to????

I appreciate your concern, with such pathologies (Malignancy) hypovitaminosis, nutritional disturbances (Mal nutrition) electrolyte imbalance are likely condition and among this folic acid deficiency would be matter of concern I would advise to take care of this at least Folic acid supplement can be tried on tentative basis, hope this information helps.
