What Causes Missed Periods And Nausea After Stopping Birth Control Pills?

I'm 21 years old, and have been on birth control since I was 16. I got off about 4 months ago and my boyfriend and I have been trying to conceive. I was supposed to start Oct 22, but still no period. I just feel different. Occasional nausea, mild cramps, and leukorrhea. I have taken 4 pregnancy tests in the last week and they are all negative. I have also been sneezing constantly. Could I be pregnant?

Hi,
You are off the pills for last 4 months. Usually fertility boosts up after withdrawal of oral contraceptives. So the symptoms of missed periods with nausea are more likely to be of pregnancy
- Pregnancy test is -ve after 10-14 days of delay in periods. some times periods take even 4-6 months to be regular after as long as 5 years of contraception by pills.& the harmonal imbalance can cause nausea.
-Even sinusitis with ear blockage can lead to nausea.
pregnancy is only possible in case you have delayed ovulation.

Solution is You should wait for menses for one more week/can repeat pregnancy test after that to completely exclude pregnancy & follow treatment for irregular periods by a gynecologist.
Thanks.
