What Causes Missed Period While On Birth Control Pills?

Should I be worried that my period hasn t come yet? I recently started birth control about two months ago almost and I have taken every pill. I missed a couple of placebo pills though while I was on my period. My boyfriend hasn t came in me since my period. Lately, I ve been bloated, my hunger has increased, I ve had cramps, sore breasts, and honestly I m kind of worried. I took my first placebo pill today so I still have 6 more left. Should I be worried? When should I expect my period?

hello,
i can understand your concern.
once you stop the birth control pills and start the placebo pill, you should be getting your withdrawal bleeding immediately.there is a certain failure rate with all the modes of contraception including the oral contraceptive pills.
if you still havent got your periods i would suggest you for the urine pregnancy test immediately.
if the test is still negative and you do not get your periods kindly repeat the test the next day and get an ultrasound pelvis done to confirm the same.
