What Causes Mild Itching And Dryness In Vagina While On Fluconazole And Nuforce?
Hi, I developed yeast infection three weeks ago and my doc asked me to take fluconazole 150mg - one tablet on day one, the other tab three days later. I was also asked to put Nuforce GM locally, which I did for 5 days twice a day. The infection subsided bt after about 10 days I felt some mild itching but without any other symptom. Doc asked me to repeat the treatment to be on the safer side and now after a week, I again feel mild itching and dryness. I did not apply the ointment much because i felt that was irritating my skin. I believe the infection is gone but I was wondering if it could be something else or just plain sensitive skin? Should I try putting fresh aloe gel to soothe the skin or do I need to run some tests?

Hi. You do not need to do apply any gel or ointment. It is just a matter of one to two weeks during which the inner lining of your vagina will become health again. you may experience some itching during this time but this will subside and also, the vag dryness will go away.
Just give your body sometime to heal.
