What Causes Mild Fever Along With Loss Of Appetite And Yellow Sclera?

I had mild fever for a few days followed by loss of appetite and yellow sclera. SGOT is 1158, SGPT 1250, GGTP 267, Alk Phosphatase 247, Se-Bilirubin Total 4.2 (Direct 3.7, Indirect 0.5). General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear, welcome to hcm. Thanks for choosing us.

You have got hepatitis (inflammation in liver cells), which is resulting in to jaundice. Your blood reports confirm this. It is mainly hepatitis A which is transmitted by water or food. Your doctor has prescribed you liver enzymes, which is essential component of treatment. Your treatment has to focus on giving rest to liver.

I advise my patients following( along with liver enzyme tablets)
1 light diet (less proteins, less fats)
2 plenty of fluids (water and fruit juices)
3 boiled vegetables (not fried)
4 no animal proteins like meat, chicken or egg
5 bed rest for two to three weeks
6 retesting of blood at second week to monitor the progress

You will be fine in few weeks if you follow above steps. Only medicine required is liver enzymes which you are already taking.

I hope my reply will benefit you. Please write to hcm or me for follow up queries. I wish you rapid recovery. Hit a thanks. Regards
