What Causes Mild Cardiomegaly And Calcification Of Aortic Arch?
Hi I'm a 58 yr old female & just when to pick up my chest x ray, it say that i have mild cardiomegaly, & minimal tortusiy& calcification of the aortic arch. How serious is this? I also walk 2 miles every morning, should i stop doing this? until i visit the doctor.

The findings on x ray may be related to atherosclerotic plaque depositation in the aorta. This isn't necessary a disease but further examinations are needed.
I encourage you to keep going with morning walk as long as you have no symptoms.
Bare in mind this is only x ray findings not necessary a disease.
