What Causes Mild Blood Drainage During Bowel Movement?

Hi I had realized in my bowel movement in two days ago and today, there is blood when I wipe the toilet paper on my bottom. The colour seems like the blood I would get on period. Two months ago I also had this symptom for one bowel movement, but next day my period came so I didn t thought much about it. By the way my period is irregular, it comes once in two months. What should I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

noted history of bleeding per rectum. do you have history of colorectal cancer in the family? do you have difficulty in bowel movement? have you had childbirths thru normal delivery? it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a gastroenterologist or a general or colorectal surgeon, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. some things to consider and must be ruled-out are hemorrhoids, anal fissures/polyp, malignancy. diagnostics (such as proctoscopy, blood tests, ct-scan) and management (medical and/or surgical if indications are found) will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
