What Causes Migraines And Vision Problems When Suffering From High Prolactin Level?

yes. In the past I was diagnosed with a high prolactin . I have been having a lot of migraines and vision problems. My endocrinologist warned me about this. Should I be seeing an endocrinologist about these symptoms? Why does a high prolactin cause these problems with vision and headaches?

Thank you for choosing HCM

Based on what you have described, it seems that you had a prolactinoma which is a tumour of the prolactin gland. This can compress certain nucleus and make it difficult for you to see. It is also known to cause headaches because of the pressure it puts on the nuclei and the brain.

You can take medications to reduce the size of the tumour. You can also get surgery done to get the tumour removed in case the symptoms do not go away with medication. Wishing you the best of health.

Hope this helps you
