What Causes Migraine With Aura?

I have been having an aura in my right side line of vision for past couple of hours. It is like a black and yellow lightening strike in my perifial vision. Is that consistent with a migraine headache which I have had for a couple of days. My normal aura is wavy lines in front of eyes.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Normally aura can be abnormal taste , smell or flashes of light...
You have migraine history also...

So yes this could be sign of aura for migraine ....

If you have headache then treat with ibuprofen or rizatriptan whichever drug you are taking for migraine ....

If you have repeated migraine attack then you can start prophylactic treatment by amitryptillin or beta blocker....

Yoga and muscle relaxation exercise also helpful...
