What Causes Memory Problems And Sleeplessness While On Eptoin?

Sir I have been consuming eptoin 300 er one tab since one&halfe year as pace maker patient for unconscious ness 4times before Pace maker as per doctor s advice,but I am forgetting specially known name, sleep not good,PL. tell me whether I will stop the medicine or not and also consume. Telday 80 for presser within 150/85 to130/ 82 .I am forgetting something time to time. PL.answer me

hi sir/mam,eptoin may cause memory loss but it’s very very rare and also very minimal.moreover,compared to other anti epileptic drugs,eptoin has very less chances of memory loss.in my opinion,your fading memory and difficulty in sleep might not be due to eptoin.just check for any other causes as follows:
1)any other medications like anti depressants
2)any trauma known or unknown
3)history of previous episodes of stroke(due to decreased blood supply to brain),any block partial of carotid arteries.
4)alzheimer’s disease.
of course this might also be physiological.if all the above causes are ruled out or any increase in symptoms or appearance of new symptoms,you can have an MRI brain done under the supervision of a neurologist.hope you understand my explanation.any further queries,please let me know.i’m always eager to address your concerns.thank you.take care.wish you and your family a very happy,healthy and prosperous new year ahead.bye.
