What Causes Lumps On The Cheek After Wisdom Tooth Extraction?

I just had two of my wisdom teeth extracted a week ago and after I felt these hard lumps and bumps on my cheek. So I grabbed my phone and recorded inside my mouth and saw bubbles that looked dark red, I looked online and people call them blood blisters, I hope that s what I have and would like to know if these blisters form after teeth extractions and if they are safe and don t mean I have an infection.. thank you.

Hi.
Thanks for the query.

Blood blisters on cheek post wisdom tooth extraction can be most probably due to injury to the soft tissues during the extraction procedures..
Blood blisters are commonly self resolving and does not need any specific treatment..
As of now you can do alternate warm and cool compresses over it..
Do warm saline gargles and take a soft diet..
In case if they do not improve in a week then you should consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
