What Causes Lump On Top Of A Pacemaker Under The Skin?
Hi I have just had my first pacemaker fitted just under 3 months ago. For the last 2 weeks or more I have noticed that I have a movable pea sized lump on top of the pacemaker under the skin. The skin on the surface looks normal and the site is a little tender but the surrounding area is all still quite tender. Is this something that I should be concerned about? Thank you in advance for any help.
Hi welcome to HCM Swelling in your case could be related to hematoma underneath the skin.so immediately get an X ray chest,2D Echo, complete blood picture.Depending on the size of hematoma draining is needed.Meanwhile apply thrombophobe ointment.Take tab.lyser d and pantocid. If size reduces you needn't worry.you may start using antibiotic course to avoid infection.consult with your cardiologist for expert management. Thankyou
