General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

based from your description, it could be an inflammatory reaction from the injury. usually, it will subside in a few days time. if the swelling persisted, a consult with a doctor is best for clinical evaluation. cold compress will also help in decreasing the swelling. diagnostics (such as x-ray) and management (medical and/or surgical) will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
