General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, It is a sebaceous cyst which is one of the commonest swellings on the scrotum. It does not usually cause any problem unless you pop it and then there is a chance it might get infected. Now that you have popped it I suggest you keep the area clean with regular soap and water wash and apply some antibiotic ointment like soframycin over it. The skin will heal over 7 to 8 days.
If you then want it gone please consult a Surgeon who can remove it completely.
These swellings are benign and generally do not cause any harm other than having a cosmetically unsightly appearance.
Take care and do let me know if you have any further queries by leaving a Specialist query.
