What Causes Lump On Head At The Base Of Skull?

Hi there. My 22 month old son has a lump on the left side of his head at the base of the skull. The lump is slightly movable and can only be appreciated when his head is in certain positions. Can t tell if it hurts or not as he can t tell me :-) but he does not seem to be in pain when I touch it. Should I show it to the doctor? Last illness was one month ago when he had bronchitis/pneumonia

these are lymph nodes which you are able to palpate. lymph nodes are present in whole body. lymhoidb tissue expansion is present in children till 6 years of age.
there is a specific cutoff for size of these swellings as per there location in body. if it is more than 1cm size in neck area then it may be secondary to some problem.
if it is large in size or rapidly increasing in size or becomes fixed to overlying skin or overlying skin becomes red, then consulta pediatrician
