What Causes Lump On Episiotomy Scar?

I am 51, noticed a lump( very lumpy) where episiotomy scar is. Hurts during and after intercourse. Wasn t like this years ago,probably growing scar tissue or what? What could it be? ( no menapause symptoms, still take birth control. Can it be removed? Single also...worried it s gonna scare a man away :(

Thank you for the concern. According to history lump is noticed around episiotomy scar and there is painful intercourse. Lump near the episiotomy scar may be swollen gland or keloid. Steroid injection can be benefit in keloid and surgical revision may be needed for swollen glands. So as early as possible consult your treating Gynaecologist for the management of this lump.
