What Causes Lump On Carotid Artery On Left Side Of Neck?
my father just recently developed a lump on his coratid artery on the left side of his neck, they tried to drain it thinking it may have fluid in it, but no success, it is hard and putting pressure on his trachea and making it hard for him to swallow. What could it be?

Do get a Color Doppler of the Carotids done and a CT Angiography/ MR Angiography to know what exactly it is. It could be a Carotid body tumor or a Neural Schwannoma. Has he had any history of seizures or fainting attacks in the past and what is his age?
