What Causes Lump Above Tonsil?
There is a small fleshy lump above my left tonsil *dorsal). The left tonsil is also very hard compared to the right tonsil when felt through the neck and it is difficult to swallow and painful. I was wondering if I should be concerned or not. Is it a different gland or node that is swollen so I usually can t see it?

It is could be infection or just swelling, if there is no clinical symptom then this is nothing to worry, but it is most advisable to get done the clinical examination because clinical condition can be known when this is being examined by ENT surgeon because this makes lot of difference when you see it and examined by doctor, hope this information helps, take care.
