What Causes Lower Right Abdominal Pain And Vomiting While Having Hiatal Hernia?

I am frustrated about my condition!! My doctor hasn t shed much light on the matter. For several months, I have had no bowel stools unless I use Miralax that he recommended. Then they come out extremely thin and small. This change in bowels concerns me. I have indigestion after dinner meal awful. I take an acid reflux pill every day, for 3 years. I do have an hernia. I also have a pain in right side of stomach. He did a colon & endocopy test 3 years ago and said no need to do one again. He finally did an ultrascan and gallbladder tests. They were positive. I am still feeling terrible at times an don t know what to do. I have also throw up. This is not imaginary and is for real Can you suggest next?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Patient,

Your situation goes with a Chronic Cholecystitis. (chronic infection of the gallbladder).

I would suggest that you stop eating lipids in your diet, go for a healthy diet full of fruits and fibers.

Exercise regularly 60 minutes (walking or running) three times a week.

Drink at least 1.5 liter of water a day. (You may add some lemon drops to your water.

Use diclofenac: 50 mg orally (immediate-release) two to three times daily when required or indometacin: 25-50 mg orally two to three times daily to alleviate the pain.

Hope this helped,
Dr. Eni.
