What Causes Lower Left-sided Abdominal Pain?

My six year old son has pain in lower left side. His blood tests revealed high glucose level (113 mg/dL) and high Alk Phos (162 unit/L). His urinalysis showed very high RBC and WBC and protein. Are these symptoms of appendicitis or something worse ? Can I find out without a CT scan ?
