What Causes Lower Calf Muscle Pain After Bunion Removal?

I have recently had successful bunion removal and arthritis cut from mid foot. All went really well. Pain free from that...nearly three weeks ago. I am now in moon boot and find that when I am up and about in a wheel chair or knee scooter I am getting lower calf muscle pain. I took two Panadol ten mins ago and now have little relief, what woul be causing the pain. I am non weight bearing and think it might be something to do with me sort of holding my leg up so that NO weight goes on it instead of resting heel with a bit of pressure on the ground. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you
