What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain?

Hello, my question is with regards to lower right abdominal pain. It s only been a day and not acute but rather persistent and I have needed to go to the bathroom more than usual for me. Reading up on the common symptoms here on this sight it could be a variety of issues. If the pain persists how long should I wait to be concerned? Couple days? Week?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain in lower right sided abdomen is non-specific symptoms.
Pain at this site can occur due to number of causes like inflammation of appendix, inflammation of fallopian tube (in females), lymph node enlargement, soft tissue lesion etc.
Is there is associated fever, nausea or vomiting?
Presence of these features are seen in inflammatory condition like appendicitis, salpingitis etc.
Increased frequency of urination is a feature of urinary tract infection (UTI).
Is there associated increased frequency of urination or burning urination then there is possibility of UTI.
However, a clinical assessment and relevant investigations (ultrasound abdomen) are required for assessing the abdominal organs and thus plan management.

Thanks and take care
