What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain And Vomiting?

My 15 yr old son has been having lower abdominal pain He has been to hospital on 2 occasions at which time doc did bloodworm and X-rays. BW came back normal and X-ray showed impacted feces. This happens to him every couple of months wher he is in pain all day he sometimes vomits but pain don t subside when he does. Doc gave him 2 bus open at hospital and a prescription for lactulose. I think there is something else wrong with him....so worried. Yesterday he had the pain again (lower abdomen) all day,he did vomit once but pain still persisted. Once the pain subsided he started to shiver uncontrollably. And he said I don t feel the pain in my stomach at all now but I got a really hard pain in my lower back (tailbone area). Hasn t had hardly any appetite. He has a fever now but feels good after Advil kicks in. Today we notice that he has some yellowing of the whites in his eyes....please tell me what this could be and what we should do. I should add that my son eats really well..don t eat anything out of a can....lots of cooked meals...veggies and fruits...faithful water drinker...in great shape...and moves his bowels regularly every day.

Hi
I had gone through your question and understand your concern.
See , consistent lower abdomen pain which is not subsided by antispasmodic and also presence yellowish tinge on sclera point out towards diagnosis of , Hepatitis (mostly A or E).
So , i would recommend you to get your son's Liver function tests (LFT's) done , so that liver pathology can be determined.
Consult a local doctor and ask him to get these tests done.
Let me know if you need any other help regarding this.
I hope this information waas of help.
Thank you.
