What Causes Lower Abdominal Cramps During Pregnancy?
I was just at my OB doctor for my 36 week check for pregnancy. For the past week I have been experiencing severe lower abdominal cramps, severe chest pain on the left side that radiates into my back, severe difficulty breathing, severe headaches, blurred vision, extreme nausea, dizziness and inability to sleep. At the doctors my blood pressure was 139/95 and I have gained 6 lbs in the past week. Is any of this normal because the doctor blew me off and said I was fine as he was running out the door? Also, should he have checked to see if I am dilated because he refused to do that as well?

Abdominal cramps could be a sign of labour, difficulty breathing needs to be checked immediately as it could be due to a serious condition. Headaches, high blood pressure and weight gain point towards pregnancy induced hypertension.
It is important that you get admitted to a hospital and get evaluated completely. You need to be examined to check for onset of labour, your blood pressure, urine protein, and more importantly the chest pain and shortness of breath.
Fetal well being should also be checked and your delivery needs to be planned,once your symptoms are stabilized.
Please go to an hospital urgently.
