Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Low Blood Pressure With Heart Flutters?
I have low blood pressure ususally 80 systolic and 40s and 50s dyastolic. I also have heart flutters especially when I lay down too fast and lay on my left side. I have had panic attacks for 14 years. I have had an echo and two holter monitor tests and felt the flutters with the holter on but nothing was ever picked up. I recently switched from atenolol to metropolol and it made the flutters worse. Is it likely that I am just experiencing pvcs or something and that nothing is wrong. I have seen two cardiologists who have put me in the clear
After reading the medical details provided by you I am surprised why you are taking BETA BLOCKERS in first when your BP is staying low. I would like to advise you to stop taking Metoprolol for a week and monitor your BP daily at same time for a week and if it stays below 140/90 mmhg then you need not start the medicine back just need to maintain healthy lifestyle habits and you will be fine. THINGS TO DO for healthy lifestyle habits. 1. Daily brisk morning walk for 45 mins a day for 5 days a week. 2. No smoking 3. Low salt diet 4. Avoid junk and canned food 5. Include good amount of fruits and vegetables in diet. 6. Keep calm and happy
I wish you good health
