my husbands bp droped to 100/50. he is on hydralazine. it happened about 3 weeks ago. he does not drink much water, which of coarse, being a retired nurse, I nag him about..haha. what could be causing this? dehydration? He felt lightheaded but feeling better now after drinking 2 glasses of water. he is also overweight
Taking a balanced diet, drinking more than 2 to 3 litres of water, and checking the blood pressure would be a good idea.
Checking the blood pressure correctly in the sitting, standing, and lying down position can be useful as well. This would help one to get the right blood pressure reading.
The cardiologist would then be able to decide the right dosage of medication for this.
I hope this helps. All the best.
