What Causes Loud Belching And Heart Burns After Meals?

Hello, for the last few months I have suffered from very loud burping and some heart burn, particularly after evening meals. What are the likely causes and what tests if any should i consider? Also could it be linked to a kidney condition?
many thanks

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query loud belching and heart burns after meals symptoms can indicate acid reflux disease, stomach inflammation, peptic ulcer or/and Helicobacter Pylori infection. Especially that this symptoms have appeared without any diet change, new medicines intake .

In some cases, belching and burping can be triggered by factors not associated with any stomach disease. Due to stress, fast eating, chewing gum, smoking, drinking carbonated drinks, loose dentures, the air is being swallowed. Such condition is called aerophagia.

I suggest you to modify your diet at first. Please try to avoid any fatty foods, spicy foods, fried foods, coffee , alcohol, chocolate, orange juices. If you do smoke, please try to avoid it. Same with chewing gum and carbonated drinks.
If this wont help, you should consult gastroenterologist and have gastroscopy done.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well soon.
Best Wishes,
