What Causes Loss Of Voice Along With Difficulty Swallowing Food?

For 4 weeks now I have lost my voice. Also, when I drink, it comes out through my nose. And if I try to blow a balloon up I have to hold my nose because the air comes out..... I have had 2 courses of tablets treating me for oral thrush, but it hasn t got any better. You must know that I java cancer patient and I m on allot of medication. This is very frustrating though, I m struggling ing to swallow food too; it gets stuck in the pipe and I have to couth it back up. What is this condition???

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
as far as I can get, you are having lower cranial nerve palsy most probably tenth nerve which is causing your palate paralysis as well as oesophagus motility problems . Palate paralysis is causing nasal regurgitation and pharynx and oesophagus problems cause coughing while swallowing.
For prognosis or treatment I need to know complete history of tumour and treatment taken
