What Causes Loss Of Voice After Wisdom Tooth Extraction?

I had a (infected) wisdom tooth extraction on Feb 22; No antibiotics prescribed. Had a cold a week later. checked negative for FLU and bacterial infection. Lost voice on March 8; ENT said Laryngeal Paresis (one vocal chord); NECK CT was normal. Voice therapy no help; since then have heartburn. is on Prilosec. Still no voice.
