What Causes Looseness In Joint With History Of Hip Replacement Surgery?

I had hip replacement surgery 11 months ago. After my initial rehab all was well. No problems at all and I resumed walking golfing etc.. A month ago I started feeling some discomfort while on long walks. I saw my family doctor who sent me for xrays. The results of the xrays indicate some looseness in the joint(socket). He is getting me a referral back with my ortho Dr. again. In the mean time I can t understand why there would be looseness after 11 month. Can you shed any light on my situation while I wait for my appointment. Thx

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The loosening of the prosthesis can happen due to change in the tone of muscles wear and tear nal alignment during the surgery etc. The exact cause can be detected after a physical examination.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
