Hello,

Its common for the children to be allergic to certain allopathic drugs. You have not mentioned the drug that your GP prescribed, also there can be possibility of this being an isolated illness.

Anyways to prevent the present illness, we usually prescribe Syp Zinc 5ml-0-5ml , Syp Oflovolk oz 3ml-0-3ml, Syp Tonoferon Pediatric 2ml-0-2ml , all for 5 days. Give adequate ORS to the baby to keep him hydrated. Also we advise a stool examination and a complete hemogram to know the cause of the illness. You should also stop the previous drug as its job is done, after due consultation with your GP.

Please note prescription drugs should be taken only on the advice of an RMP. Each illness has a different pathway of reaching to suitable drug, which only an expert physician has knowledge of. Self treatment can be dangerous. Always take expert help when in need.

Thanks
