What Causes Loose Seedy Yellow Stools In A Baby?

my 3 month old son is very fussy about feeding and only takes about 60 % of his recommnended daily amount of milk - he is a 'big' baby weighing 4kg at birth and is now 6.5kg it seems odd he has such a small appetite, he is now on zantac for suspected silent reflux (past 10 days) as he has dropped off the 75 centile recently. my main question is he always seems to have loose seedy yellow stools but is formula fed (i understood this was normal for breast fed) is it possible this is caused by a protein intolerance? many thanks

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi...please be reassured that your kid is normal. It's quite normal for such stool consistency which you are quoting. Unless the kid is having blood in stools or green bilious vomiting or abdominal pain or distension and low urine output, you need not worry.
