What Causes Loose Motions Occur With The Intake Of Calcium & Iron Tablets In Pregnant Woman?

I am a pregnant lady (5 month), I am taking calcium and iron since last 2 month. As soon as i take these medicine, i feel the need of toilet (motion). Can you please advise is it normal. Although i keep a gap of around 2 hours between two medicine.

Hello dear ,I understand your concern.In my opinion iron tablet cause gastrointestinal disturbance .Some experience diarrhea and some constipation.But not seen immediately after taking tablet.So consult your doctor if you have any gastrointestinal infection.Take calcium tablet after breakfast and iron tablet after dinner.
